Optimum Organization – IEPs and Mods

Good morning everyone!  I’m sad this is the last week of the Optimum Organization Linky with Fun in 4B and Ladybug’s Teacher Files.  I’ve found so many great ideas through this linky.

Today I want to share how I organize my mods.  I teach high school, and I have around 150-175 students each year, with about 20-30 IEP and 504 students.  That’s a lot to remember!  So how do I keep track of it all?

I made a spreadsheet with different columns for the common mods, and I just plug in the information for each student. I also made a column for other, and one for notes so that I can keep track of anything else I need to know about the student.

I use this tracking sheet a few different ways. I keep a copy in my gradebook for easy reference, and it has simplified my life so much! I also print all of my students’ sheets with their complete mods in a binder and put a copy of this tracking sheet at the front of the binder. The last way I use this tracker is as a Google Sheet, so that I have it digitally. We use Schoology in my district, and if I am grading assignments digitally (or assigning work from home), I can easily reference the accommodations and modifications without having to take the binder or paper gradebook home with me. This has proven to be such a time saver for me over the years!

How do you keep track of your students’ mods?
