At La Señorita Creativa, I am dedicated to providing language educators with creative ideas, tips and tricks, and resources to engage your students and help keep your class fresh. I firmly believe that creative and fun activities increase student engagement and retention of knowledge. Gone are the days of “Drill and Kill”! My mission as a teacher-author is to provide busy teachers with resources that will engage their students in language learning in a fresh, new way. I always strive to see things from the student perspective when designing my resources so that they work to activate their prior knowledge and make cultural connections.
I have over ten years of experience as a Spanish teacher and three years of experience as a department head. I’ve also been fortunate enough to present professional development to language teachers in my district and region. I am passionate about purposeful technology integration and bringing real-world experiences to students in my classroom and beyond.
